Save the Date!

The Symposium of Insect-Plant Interactions (SIP) is a leading international conference held every three years, bringing together researchers to explore the complex relationships between insects and plants. The symposium covers ecological, evolutionary, behavioral, and physiological aspects, providing a platform for both fundamental and applied research.

Following the successful 18th edition in Bielefeld (Germany), SIP will return in 2027 to Wageningen, The Netherlands, from Sunday 22 - Thursday 26 August 2027.

The conference offers an inspiring environment for scientists from around the world, featuring oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops. Special attention is given to early-career researchers, with opportunities for networking, mentorship, and travel support. SIP19 promises to be a dynamic and engaging meeting, showcasing the latest advances in insect-plant interaction research.

Important dates

  • Registration for the conference and the Call for Abstracts will open on 1 November 2026.

  • The Call for Abstracts closes on 1 April 2027.
