Celebrate the end of the year on campus during WUR-Wintervibes!

This year we celebrate the end of the year a little closer to home - on our own campus and (WUR) locations. This way we stay close, but still create that cozy togetherness it's all about. From Monday 8 December through Friday 19 December, Impulse and Omnia will be the vibrant meeting places where we look back on the year and look ahead to what is to come. Because of the current austerity measures we consciously choose to celebrate on our own grounds, at inspiring places, with great colleagues and a lot of fun. Fancy a musical finale? Come drink and sing along with your own Top 10 in the WUR Top0317 Café. Or show your sporty side and challenge your colleagues to a game of curling on one of the curling lanes at Impulse. Can't make it to campus? A special decoration surprise package is available for the other WUR locations. More information about the Wintervibes programme can be found below.

So drum up your colleagues, plan something fun and end the year together with a big dose of WUR Wintervibes!

WUR Top0317 café in Omnia​​​​​​

Restaurant Novum in Omnia will be transformed into our own WUR Top2000 café, which will be renamed the Top0317 Café this term. Put together your favorite Top 10 with your team, then come for drinks and sing along to the Top0317 Karaoke. The café will be open for groups of 10 to (max.) 80 people between Dec. 8 and 19 and will be open between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Admission to the café is free, including karaoke. Drinks and snacks are at your own expense. Check availability through restaurant Novum at welkom@restaurantnovum.nl.

During Wintervibes there is a special catering offer at restaurant Novum. Would you like to stay for dinner after the drinks or are you curious about breakfast and lunch options? For questions about availability and the offer, contact restaurant Novum.

Curlen bij Impulse

Outside at Impulse there will be 2 (covered) curling lanes. The courts will be open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays from Thursday, December 11 through Thursday, December 18. You can reserve a lane (including hot chocolate for participants) in a 45-minute time slot. Curling is free of charge. Gather your colleagues and set up two teams (from) 2 people per lane. Combine curling with a snack or drink arrangement outside at the rink. Order snacks and drinks from the caterer at Impulse. Contact Impulse for more information and options.

Overige WUR-locaties

Are you organising your end-of-year activity not in Wageningen, but in one of the WUR locations in for example Lelystad, Leeuwarden or The Hague, then order the Wintervibes decoration surprise package. A box with various attributes to dress up, 'liven up' or decorate your activity or meeting. The box will be made available per location and is intended to be rotated internally so that multiple teams can make use of it. There are a limited number of boxes available.

Interested? Send an email to events@wur.nl before December 1 and include your contact information, the location you are from, the number of people you are organizing your activity for and the day. We will then make sure the box is delivered on time.

Do you play in a band and enjoy performing during this time at a gathering organized on campus? Or have you planned an end-of-year activity and are you looking for musical entertainment to give your gathering that little bit extra?

Then sign up with team events and we'll see if we can match you up! Repertoire is negotiable. From background to danceable with some Christmas classics here and there.

Special Wintervibes catering offer

The three caterers on campus— Compass Group (Atlas, Aurora, Forum, Gaia/Lumen, Leeuwenborgh, and Orion), OSP Vermaat (Impulse), and Hutten (Omnia)—have created a special Winter Vibes menu for December. Whether you'd like to order breakfast, lunch, drinks, dinner, or a snack, everything is possible. If you can't find what you're looking for in the menus, customization is also possible. Please contact the caterer in question as soon as possible.

Of course, you can also bring your own catering. You are not obligated to purchase catering.
