Beyond Fair Trade
Rethinking African-European Value Chains
Wednesday 27 October | 15:30-17:00 | Impulse Wageningen & Online
We can dream about freedom, justice, equality or sustainability. And dreams are needed to set things in motion. But how to make the world a fairer place for all? Can we realize these dreams by rethinking value chains? Join this dialogue to rethink African-European value chains together.
With this highly interactive session we invite you to rethink supply chains of African raw materials, to move from conventionally disempowering systems to value chains that are fairer for all. Guest speakers with clear visions and different roles in the value chain will connect with you to think of ways to turn our dreams into actions. Some of our speakers are Max Koffi (Africa In Motion), Linda Klunder (Kumasi Drinks), Irene van Staveren (Rethinking Economics), Maja Slingerland (WUR), and Rob Libberink (HvA).
Registration is closed now. You may come to Impulse, joining online is possible via this Zoom link.
Let’s learn from each other’s experiences and build on each other’s challenges!
This dialogue relates to the current photo exhibition in Impulse 'Thank you for supporting poverty'.
On behalf of everyone involved in the organisation,
