About the training

Are you a project leader, consortium coordinator, facilitator, or participant in a multi-stakeholder field facing challenging differences? Then you may know how challenging it can be when perspectives clash, interests clash, or communication breaks down. How do you remain effective and professional in such situations—without derailing the conversation or losing yourself?

In this training, you'll learn how to use uncomfortable conversations as catalysts for understanding, collaboration, and deeper understanding. You'll practice techniques that stimulate curiosity and strengthen your open-mindedness, such as asking critical and clarifying questions, making focused observations, and consciously postponing negative reactions. By the end of this workshop, you'll have practical methods for dealing with different perspectives, responding constructively and openly in difficult conversations, making well-considered choices in uncomfortable situations, and promoting dialogue instead of argument.

To effectively apply what you've learned in your own practice, we ask you to bring a specific case involving conflict or tension before the session. After the training you will also receive an in-depth assignment to further anchor your insights in your work.

The costs of the training are €260,- plus catering and administration costs. As a WUR-employee such costs can be covered from your training budget.
