Wageningen, August 2022

Dear colleagues,

We would like to announce the XVI IOBC-WPRS meeting of the Working Group “Biological and integrated control of plant pathogens”, that will be hosted in Wageningen on 6-9 June 2023.

The theme of the meeting will be the biocontrol needs and challenges in future cropping systems. We will discuss how biological control can contribute to the future transformation of our food production systems in a changing world. How can we utilize the knowledge on the role of microbiomes in disease suppression and biological control solutions to achieve high resilience to plant diseases in our food crops?

We wish to bring together students, experts, researchers and stakeholders. All contributions relating to biocontrol of plant diseases are welcome. Specific sessions will focus on developments needed for bioprotection in future food production. This meeting will provide an important opportunity to present your latest biocontrol results, to share and discuss the latest ideas and to network for your future collaborations.

There will be oral and poster presentations in English. Preceedings with full papers or extended abstracts of contributions will be published in the IOBC-WPRS Bulletin before the meeting.

The conference will offer industries and other organizations the opportunity to present themselves. Interested parties are invited to contact the conference organization for detailed conditions.

For more information about the meeting, please consult the First Circular.

In October 2022, the second circular will be sent and information on the meeting including instructions for your contribution to the conference preceedings will be available here.

We hope to see you next year!

Kind regards,

Jürgen Köhl and Georgina Elena – Conference chairs
