As an alternative option, you can book a trip yourself, to the Dutch Open Air Museum. Here you can explore an area of around 44 hectares which is full of all kinds of authentic, unusual buildings. Each of these has its own fascinating history and an interesting story to tell.

 

There are activities taking place at the museum park and crafts people practice their crafts bringing the historic buildings to life.

 

This park is located not far from the city of Arnhem, address: Hoeferlaan 4, Arnhem, about 20 km from Wageningen. It will take around 20 minutes by car and around 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there by public transport. You can take the bus from Wageningen to the Ede-Wageningen railway station. Take the train form Ede-Wageningen to Arnhem Central, and from there bus 3 (direction Zoo) or bus 8 (direction Velp).
